This Fellowship involves arthroscopic surgery of the hip and knee, reconstructive surgery of the knee, total knee and total hip replacement and revision surgery.
Associate Professor Roe is a highly experienced surgeon performing over 400 knee procedures per year. He specialises in ACL reconstruction and procedures for osteoarthritis of the knee.
This Fellowship is suitable for a candidate preparing for a career in hand surgery. The Fellow will be involved in emergency and elective cases, on call from the emergency department and outpatient care.
Dr Carmody’s main interest is conditions of the foot, ankle and knee. His Fellowship training had an emphasis on arthroscopic techniques for treating arthritis and sports injuries.
Professor Carey Smith is part of the University Department of Orthopaedics at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. His clinical interests focus on orthopaedic oncology and complex lower limb reconstruction.
Dr Cree specialises in spine surgery, paediatric spine and orthopaedic surgery. He is Director of Spine Surgery Fellowship programmes at the Children’s Hospital Westmead and Royal North Shore Hospital.
Dr Hazratwala specialises in lower limb and trauma with special interests in adult total hip and knee replacements and adult revision (previously failed or painful) hip and knee replacements.
This Fellowship will provide extensive training to recent orthopaedic graduates in the diagnosis and management of hip and knee arthroplasty, arthroscopy and the specialised osseointegration for above knee amputees.
