The Fellowship focuses on the Fellow obtaining a broad knowledge of all aspects of foot and ankle surgery. The Fellow will experience elective and trauma foot and ankle surgery and become competent performing such surgery.
This Fellowship focuses on the reconstructive and arthroplasty surgery of the hip and knee joints. The Fellow will be involved in pre-operative evaluation and surgery in a large and busy joint replacement practice.
The Fellowship will provide experience in total hip and knee arthroplasty using the latest techniques with activities including patient consultation, surgical assisting, perioperative patient care and research.
Mr Barwood has a particular focus on arthroscopic techniques for shoulder tendon (rotator cuff) and stabilisation surgery as well as modern shoulder replacement surgery.
Dr Bergman specialises in adult reconstruction and joint replacement surgery of the lower limbs. He has a special interest in hip and knee revision arthroplasty and difficult or unusual primary arthroplasty.
Mr Hoy specialises in hand and wrist surgery including trauma, all forms of shoulder surgery and a particular interest in elbow surgery.
The Fellow will assist in AMIS (Anterior Minimally Invasive Surgery) for Total Hip Arthroplasty and Conventional and Patient Matched Instrumentation for Total Knee Arthroplasty.
This Fellowship will enable the Fellow on completion to successfully assess and examine hip patients; perform hip arthroscopy and hip osteotomies; assist and partially perform Ganz Peri-acetabular Osteotomies; and assist and later perform hip replacements via an anterior approach.
Dr Keeley’s interests are hip and knee surgery, complex trauma surgery and deformity correction. He has a strong research interest in teaching activities involving orthopaedic trainees, medical students and nurses.
The Fellowship is largely clinical with a heavy weighting towards knee surgery. Some flexibility exists to structure the Fellowship with additional exposure to hip and/or shoulder surgery.
Mr James’ principal area of interest has been the design of total knee joint prostheses and the surgical instruments used to implant them.
The Fellowship is principally concerned with the teaching of orthopaedic aspects of shoulder and elbow surgery. Experience in this area includes joint replacement, arthroplasty and all types of arthroscopic surgery.
