Orthopaedic Fellowship Information
The fellowship encompasses all aspects of clinical involvement in sports orthopaedic management in a busy group practice, including assessment of new patients, surgical treatment at assistant level (with level of responsibility dependant on proficiency demonstrated), post-operative care and rehabilitation. Surgical procedures comprise all aspects of hip, knee and ankle reconstructive surgery including arthroscopic procedures, stabilisations and arthroplasty. There is a strong emphasis on elite athlete injury management. Several group members have a strong interest in shoulder surgery, with arthroscopic and open reconstructive procedures performed. An upper limb specialist practice provides exposure to hand, wrist and elbow arthroscopic and open reconstructive procedures. The Fellow's specific interest will dictate his clinical involvement.
