This Fellowship involves a wide range of adult joint reconstructive surgery from joint preserving procedures and primary arthroplasty to complex revision surgery.
This is a pure research Fellowship to work with our Research Committee on a number of ongoing studies. The Fellowship is deigned to develop the academic career of a highly motivated individual though multidisciplinary orthopaedic research on multiple research projects.
The Fellowship is for a qualified orthopaedic surgeon wishing to extend his/her expertise in shoulder surgery, knee surgery or hand and upper limb surgery.
Associate Professor Walter’s interest is in hip and knee issues from arthroscopic procedures, straightforward joint replacement surgery to highly complex conditions.
The Fellowship is largely clinical with a heavy weighting towards knee surgery. Some flexibility exists to structure the Fellowship with additional exposure to hip and/or shoulder surgery.
Mr Gonzalvo specialises in spinal and skull base surgery with expertise in keyhole and microsurgery of the spine, complex reconstructive interventions for spinal fractures and deformity.
