This Fellowship is aimed at orthopaedic surgeons wishing to gain post Fellowship training in hip and knee arthroplasty techniques and approaches, with exposure to revision surgery.
This Fellowship is suitable for a candidate preparing for a career in hand surgery. The Fellow will be involved in emergency and elective cases, on call from the emergency department and outpatient care.
The Fellowship encompasses learning the direct anterior approach to the hip; assessing patients before surgery for suitability for this procedure; following them through rehabilitation; undertaking outcomes research; and observing a variety of hip arthroscopic procedures.
This Fellowship is to provide orthopaedic research and the opportunity to gain experience with diseases of the knee and joint arthroplasty in the sports medicine environment.
The Fellowship encompasses all aspects of clinical involvement in hip and knee arthroplasty (primary and revision) management as well as hip preservation procedures, knee sports medical reconstruction work and arthroscopic hip and knee procedures.
