This Fellowship is focused on orthopaedic surgeons wishing to gain experience with diseases of the knee and joint arthroplasty, particularly in the sports medicine environment, and is offered through the North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre.
Dr McQueen specialises in orthopaedic surgery of the lower limb with particular emphasis on hip and knee replacement surgery, unicompartmental knee replacement surgery and arthroscopic surgery of the knee.
Professor Khan’s areas of expertise include hip and knee arthroplasty, trauma and sports surgery.
The Fellowship is largely clinical with a heavy weighting towards knee surgery. Some flexibility exists to structure the Fellowship with additional exposure to hip and/or shoulder surgery.
This Fellowship will provide extensive training to recent orthopaedic graduates in the diagnosis and management of hip and knee arthroplasty, arthroscopy and the specialised osseointegration for above knee amputees.
Fellows will be exposed to both hip and knee arthroplasty, primary and revision and ligament/soft tissue reconstructions of the knee.
