Mr Byrne specialises in reconstruction of the shoulder, hip, knee and ankle including joint replacement, sports injuries and arthroscopic intervention and complex revision surgery.

He is an Australian trained and qualified orthopaedic surgeon with Fellowships in Sydney, the UK and the USA. With over 20 years of experience working as an orthopaedic surgeon, Mr Byrne is actively involved in the training of overseas Fellows.

Mr Byrne is chair to overseas meetings and is involved in prosthetic development and surgical techniques for sports injuries and joint replacement including computer-assisted surgery.
