Dr Liu specialises in hip and knee surgery with a particular interest in reconstruction of the sports injured knee, surgical treatment of hip and knee arthritis and computer navigated knee replacement surgery.

He is a well-known orthopaedic specialist who performs hip replacement and knee replacement surgery at the Gold Coast Centre for Bone and Joint Surgery.

Dr Liu graduated from Medicine with Honours at The University of New South Wales in 1993. He completed his orthopaedic training and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2002. Dr Liu is a member of the Arthroplasty Society of Australia and is on the Scientific Committee Asia Pacific Arthroplasty Society and the Editorial Board of the Knee Surgery and Related Research.
