Orthopaedic Fellowship Information
This Fellowship is designed to educate the Fellow in all aspects of orthopaedic oncology including pathology, surgery, radiology and understanding of adjuvant therapies. The Fellow is expected to have completed his advanced orthopaedic training. The consulting surgeons involved with the Fellowship provide a major service in orthopaedic oncology to the state of Queensland and northern New South Wales and treat approximately 500 patients per year. The major clinical emphasis is on treatment of primary tumours of the bone and soft tissue but there is also an exposure to secondary tumours.
The Fellow will be exposed to their management, from the planning stages through to completion of treatment. He or she will attend at operating sessions at The Wesley Hospital and also attend consulting sessions. There will be exposure to orthopaedic teaching sessions at Princess Alexandra Hospital including a fortnightly combined orthopaedic pathology and radiology meeting and orthopaedic outpatients. There will also be exposure to the operating sessions at Princess Alexandra Hospital where appropriate.
Stipend

AU$75,000 pa

Minimum Requirements
