Orthopaedic Fellowship Information

The spine Fellowship will provide optimal care for patients with all aspects of spinal disorders. This will involve advanced knowledge in theory, teaching, clinical skills, surgery and research related to spine.
Westmead Children’s Hospital is a State Tertiary Referral Centre for paediatric spine. It is part of a cross campus with Westmead Hospital permitting extensive exposure to paediatric and adult spine cases.
The Fellowship will provide experience in a broad range of paediatric and adult spinal disorders including trauma, infections, deformities and degenerative diseases.

Minimum Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent
• Registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Satisfactory completion of SET 1 training or equivalent and recent surgical
