The Fellowship involves delivery of all aspects of medical care to the patients being treated, including public and private patients and operating theatre responsibilities to gain advanced surgical training in reconstructive arthroplasty and trauma surgery.
The Fellow will have a keen interest to further their clinical knowledge and practical skills. It is predominantly a hip and knee private practice experience with a public hospital affiliation.
This Fellowship will enable the Fellow on completion to successfully assess and examine hip patients; perform hip arthroscopy and hip osteotomies; assist and partially perform Ganz Peri-acetabular Osteotomies; and assist and later perform hip replacements via an anterior approach.
The Fellowship encompasses all aspects of clinical involvement in shoulder and upper limb orthopaedic management in a busy 14-member group practice.
The major focus of the Fellowship is to train in arthroscopic reconstruction techniques involving minimally invasive surgery of the hip.
This Fellowship will provide extensive training to recent orthopaedic graduates in the diagnosis and management of hip and knee arthroplasty, arthroscopy and the specialised osseointegration for above knee amputees.
