This Fellowship will provide exposure to moderately complex primary joint replacements of the knee, hip and shoulder and revision arthroplasties. You will participate in departmental meetings and undertake research for peer review on a six monthly basis.
The goal of the Fellowship is to gain instruction and expertise in the assessment, planning and surgical management of all lower limb arthroplasty procedures.
This Fellowship involves arthroscopic surgery of the hip and knee, reconstructive surgery of the knee, total knee and total hip replacement and revision surgery.
The Fellowship encompasses learning the direct anterior approach to the hip; assessing patients before surgery for suitability for this procedure; following them through rehabilitation; undertaking outcomes research; and observing a variety of hip arthroscopic procedures.
The Fellow will gain further experience and training in all aspects of adult hip and knee joint arthroplasty, including arthroscopic knee ligament reconstruction, in a busy metropolitan practice.
The Fellowship focuses on the Fellow obtaining a broad knowledge of all aspects of foot and ankle surgery. The Fellow will experience elective and trauma foot and ankle surgery and become competent performing such surgery.
The Fellow will work with Dr Burrow, whose particular interest is in arthroscopic surgery for sporting injuries, shoulder instability, rotator cuff tears, knee ligament injuries as well as surgery for shoulder and knee arthritis.
The Fellowship provides a program of joint replacement with an emphasis on hip and knee arthroplasty.
This Fellowship is focused on orthopaedic surgeons wishing to gain experience with diseases of the knee and joint arthroplasty, particularly in the sports medicine environment, and is offered through the North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre.
The Fellowship will be a combined Clinical and Research Fellowship. Primary and revision joint replacement with an emphasis on impaction grafting.
This Fellowship will focus on all aspects of upper limb surgery including trauma and elective reconstruction, sufficient to enter sub-specialty practice if desired. This includes arthroplasty, arthroscopic surgery and microsurgery.
The Fellowship is to provide experience and training in total joint arthroplasty, training in navigation, seminars on complex and difficult cases and clinical discussions.
